I remember this being one of my favorite MLP related pictures on DeviantArt maybe a year or two ago. I believe it was something to do with the cloth being the perfect shade of red to overlap with her hair. Not to mention all the other colors and splendid shading that went into this. It's still a fabulous picture to look at even after so long. Thankfully my perception of art has grown since then, so this picture is almost like a mark of inspiration that helped me get from where I was then to where I am now. I'm glad that there are amazing artists like you to help inspire me to better than my best. Thanks Hobbes! ^^
Oh this is absolutely fantastic; I just love her! Aside from the fact that I have a well-known bias towards depictions of Rarity working, I think you did a great job with this... I really love the composition with the elements spilling out onto the "frame", and the colors are lovely. That brilliant red of the fabric (and the nice little touch of her matching glasses) pops beautifully against the less saturated colors that make up the rest of the image, and the results are very striking.
So yes, again I really do love it... it's a shame I won't be attending Bronycon this time after all, or I would happily buy a print of this myself!
